So it has taken me way too long to get this up on the blog- I think I need an assistant just to manage my blog! So the one word that went flying around during this very special destination wedding was EPIC. What an amazing honor it was to be a part of Valaya + Johnny’s Renaissance Island Aruba wedding. When I met Valaya and Johnny on one of my NYC trips after they hired me, I was so excited to get to work with them. They are both so fun and so down to earth. We had so much fun touring around the island with them for their engagement session and the wedding was just amazing. Special thanks to my friend and guest photographer Kristen Steele. From bringing tons of her amazing Rodan and Fields sunblock for us, to calming my nerves through all the ins and outs of traveling internationally for a wedding, she was amazing! Special thanks to Valaya + Johnny and their families for their kindness, hospitality and for the privilege of documenting their special day! I will never forget it! I can’t even write any more about it, you just have to look at the pictures!
Everyone had to get in a boat to get to the island for the wedding! So fun for the groomsmen, but a little harder for the ladies who had to hide from the wind in the hull of the boat…. I went over with the bride and bridesmaids, and we had our favorite captain taking us! It was pretty amazing to see him navigate the lobby of the hotel….

Favorites from Carmen + Ryan’s Nashville wedding! We started out at Union Station for getting ready and the first look, and then headed to Vanderbilt since that is where they met. When I met with Ryan before the wedding, we sat in the very Starbucks where they first met. I love how their choice of venues was so personal to their Nashville experience. After the Scarritt-Bennett Chapel wedding, we headed to the reception at W.O. Smith School of Music… Enjoy!
