I loved photographing Corbin’s surprise proposal at Cumberland Park! It was so nice to meet this sweet couple and be there to document this moment for them– they are from out of town, and I am so glad they have some great images to share with their family back home. Even though it was a rainy day, we still managed to get some great shots! Enjoy!
Sunrise Cumberland Park Engagement : Kelly + Waylon
Y’all. I am SO not a morning person. But after this session, I really wanted every session I did to be a morning session. Aside from the challenge of the light being in a different direction than I am use to in this location, the morning mist and fog was EPIC and so fun to work with. Kelly and Waylon told me they weren’t use to being photographed like this (I think that is true for many people), but they totally trusted me and had a great time with it, and it shows. Can’t wait for their wedding later this year!
Sailboat Engagement : Becca + Tim
So, the idea with engagement sessions for me is to not only give the clients a set of professional, casual photographs, but also for me to get to know them a little better, which in turn helps me serve them better. When Becca suggested Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina for her engagement session, I was thrilled because I knew from our conversations that she has a long history of sailing and that it was something that meant a lot to both of them. Turns out she actually teaches sailing there too. I had such a blast hanging out with these two and learning a little more about them. And about sailboats. And yes, I was definitely paranoid the whole time that I was going to end up in the water with both cameras strapped to me, like that YouTube video of the photographer falling into the baptismal pool. Enjoy!
Pedestrian Bridge Engagement : Kristen + Sam
It has been a while since I have posted, mostly because I have been so crazy busy! I would venture to say that the Fall is by far the busiest season of the year for photographers, especially here in Nashville. That being said, I am excited to share Kristen + Sam’s Pedestrian Bridge engagement session! They were so fun to work with, and such troopers to get everything set up and scheduled since they live out of town! Enjoy!
Roosevelt Island Engagement : Charissa + Zak
I had so much fun meeting Charissa + Zak on my last trip to NYC! One of her professors at Vanderbilt is the Father of one of my wedding clients, so when she heard I had a work trip planned to NYC this Spring, it worked out great for us to schedule her engagement shoot. It was a very windy day, but it was absolutely beautiful, and I was so glad to be able to take advantage of the gorgeous Cherry Blossoms that were still in full bloom! I am ashamed to say that in my entire 5.5 years of living in NYC, I never went to Roosevelt Island before this, but I think I picked a great time of year to go! Enjoy…
