One of my more memorable weddings of 2015– and not just because I got to ride in a helicopter with the bride and groom! I had such a great time getting to know this couple- from photographing their surprise proposal at Centennial Park to a fun engagement session complete with coffee from their favorite place, I knew their wedding would be special. Rain on a wedding day can be challenging, but when the bride and groom are smiling and having a great time, you just can’t go wrong. Especially with a helicopter getaway. Special thanks to Penny at Stones River Country Club for all her hard work! Enjoy!
I am in the process of catching up on blog work– here are a few favorites from Alyssa + Greg’s Nashville Wedding! Enjoy!
I contemplated doing a “Best Of” compilation that highlighted the prettiest, most well-executed photographs I have taken this year, which would have satisfied the artist / perfectionist in me. Midway through that process I stopped, realizing that some of my favorite photographs are not perfect. The lighting isn’t great, there are background issues because I was focused on capturing a fleeting moment, one that would be gone forever if I took the time to compose it just-so. But the moments. The little ones. Those are what our years are made of, the ones that make our lives rich. So here are some imperfect photos in an imperfect slideshow. I sure had fun making it. Happy New Year!
** 2 of the photographs featured were taken by guest photographers– thank you all so much for your hard work!
So excited to share with you Becca + Tim’s Scarritt Bennett + Hilton Downtown Nashville Wedding! I just can’t get enough of this one. Special thanks to all the amazing vendors (credits at the end of the post) for all their work to make this such a special day for Becca + Tim! Enjoy!
Becca wore an heirloom veil that has been in her family for many generations— I think her Mom said since the 1920’s. It was so delicate, I was so glad Karen Hendrix was there to help keep it safe!
I love this series of Becca’s Mom + Dad. So sweet.
The moments right after the ceremony are often my favorites!

So I am finally coming up for air after a fantastic but very busy wedding season. Going to try to dedicate more time to catching up with blogging– for now, here are a few favorites from my July (yes, I said it, JULY) engagement session with Blake + Ryan at Long Hunter State Park. We had so much fun wandering around and sitting on cliffs– I was also excited they brought their beloved pup with them for some photos. I absolutely loved Ryan’s dry sense of humor, and Blake has an amazing and infectious smile. Can’t wait for their Spring wedding!
