Sunday School for Brides… a Wednesday edition…

Sunday School for Brides… a Wednesday edition…

Hi all, so sorry for the delay.  Lots of work, which is good, not so much time, which is bad.  This week’s Sunday School is short and sweet.  It is simply advice to bring or wear comfortable shoes on your wedding day, especially for photo sessions.  I might ask you to walk somewhere or stand somewhere that might not be so easy to do in 4-inch white Jimmy Choo’s, so bring an extra pair for the shoot.

You will be more comfortable, and you would be surprised how much a shoe can impact a shoot.  For example, let’s say we are shooting in Coney Island on the boardwalk.  The boardwalk has lots of slits in-between the wooden planks.  Imagine walking in stilettos on that.  It would take 10 minutes just to walk from point A to point B safely in those.

Also, know your limit when it comes to shoes.  I had one bride who wears extremely high heels all day long, so putting some on for 12 hours straight was no big deal for her.  However, I have gotten so use to being a New Yorker (ugh it is hard for me to even admit that!) that I wear flats a lot because of all the walking and stair climbing I do.  So I can hardly stay in heels for more than 4 hours.  And when my feet hurt, I am miserable.  Really.  MISERABLE.

Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of awesome wedding shoes.  They make for great pictures, but keep an extra pair around just in case…
